Remember the old days, when all you needed was a pair of saddle shoes and an apply for your first day back to school? Well the times and styles have changed. Hi, I’m Stacey. It’s back to school and today I’m going to teach you five simple steps to choose the right shoes for your kids. Number one: always measure your child’s feet before buying a new pair of shoes. When measuring, make sure your child is standing up and that you measure each foot. Since one foot is usually larger, buy shoes
that to accommodate the larger of the two feet. Number two: When your child is wearing the shoes and they’re fully extended, there should be about half an inch between the end of your child’s toes and the ends of the shoes. Number three: look for shoes that are made with breathable material such as canvas and leather. In addition to being more durable,
they will keep your kids’ feet cooler and drier, preventing blisters, discomfort, and
smelly shoes. Number four: look for a pattern or textured sole. As this will create traction
and help your kid avoiding falling on wet surfaces. Number five: As adults we often
say we’re breaking these shoes in. This is a bad idea for anyone, especially for kids.
Shoe should be immediately comfortable. They need to fit and feel good when you buy them. If you have any questions or concerns always consult a podiatrist or a foot specialist.
Remember treat your feet right and they’ll treat you right. Thanks for watching. I’m
Stacey and I’ll see you next time.
