Product Review: Wolverine Glacier CSA Work Boot

Hey guys Jeff here. Your Mister Safety Shoes expert on fit and comfort back with another review. This time we’ve got the Wolverine Glacier CSA work boot with Vibram Arctic Grip soles. The Vibram Arctic Grip soles are a big part of what makes this boot great but they’re only part of the story… Let’s start at the top… These boots are full-grain leather with a composite toe and midsole and they have a waterproof membrane so they really protect what makes them even better for outdoor work and cold conditions is the 400 grams of Thinsulate they have inside them. Thinsulate is warm and lightweight at the same time and Thinsulate is measured in grams. 200 grams is good for cool conditions. 400 grams is good for continuous work in cold weather. Thinsulate goes all the way up to 1,000 grams for super extreme cold weather which I’m clearly not dressed for. On top of that there’s an abrasion resistance heel kicker for protection and for comfort Wolverines developed something they call EPX anti-fatigue technology sounds serious and what it means is they’ve created extra layers but thinner cushioning layers between your foot and and the ground for more stability and comfort and they’ve also got this honeycomb design on the heel which allows it to expand as you walk lessening the impact on your foot. These boots were tested by the Toronto Rehabilitation Centre and we’re one of only a handful of work boots to get the thumbs up you can find them on ratemytreads.com. The sole was created with a deep and wide lug tread designed for maximum contact with wet ice surfaces and rough terrain. Let me show you what I’m talking about. Wet ice versus the Wolverine Glacier CSA work boots with Vibram Arctic Grip soles. Here we go. Piece of cake! So, these boots are warm, dry, comfortable, and they have amazing grip on ice. That’s a lot of bang for your buck. You can find the Wolverine Glacier CSA work boot with Vibram Arctic Grip soles on mistersafetyshoes.com and at one of our retail locations listed on our website. And remember, fit equals comfort so make sure to get both your feet measured the next time you buy work boots or safety shoes. Until next time I’m Jeff your Mister Safety Shoes expert on fit and comfort signing off.
